Karl Lagerfeld sent his models for the Chanel AW09 show down the catwalk with eyes embellished with sequins and lashes to create dramatic eyes without the need for outlandish colour or lashings of glitter.
Chanel’s make-up artists created the look with custom made lashes fashioned by hand from tulle and sequins in true haute couture style. But in typical 2009 recessionista style it’s not difficult to recreate the look using a few key products for less than £10 from Superdrug.
Colourworks Club Shimmer set (launches in September) £9.99. This nine piece set includes some essential items to create the Chanel look; tiny crystal jewels to use under the eye to add a graphic and dramatic touch, false lashes and a sheer silver powder to add a soft sheen to eyelids.
