– NEW Superdrug credit crunch Essentials skin care collection –

This August Superdrug launches a new facial skin care collection with a price of just £1 per item.  The Skin Essentials range is a credit crunch collection offering simple skin care, including variants for sensitive skin.

Customers can choose either Camomile or Fragrance Free formulations, and products which have been designed to offer straightforward skin care in straightforward packaging.  The ranges have been created for those customers taking a back to basics approach to beauty and skin care, wanting honest good value products that will leave skin refreshed and moisturised at a great price – but don’t promise the earth.

Joanna Hutton, Superdrug skin care buyer said: “Women are getting savvier in their skin care shopping.  Using the correct skin care doesn’t have to mean spending hundreds of pounds on the latest technology.  When women spend over £100 on a moisturiser up to £20 of that price can be attributed to the fancy packaging, celebrity advertising campaign and golden lids – in these thrift conscious times we think it’s far chicer to spend money where it matters, on the product.

“It is a fact that dermatologists agree that using high factor sun protection on the face everyday and an inexpensive daily moisturiser will help slow down ageing of the skin more effectively than simply spending a fortune on lotions and potions.”

It is estimated that British consumers will spend over £700m on facial skin care this year, with 59 per cent of that being spent on moisturiser.

Let there be light (under my eyes)

Let there be light (under my eyes)

This week’s Closer magazine tested eyecreams and GOOD SKIN Instant Lightening Eye Cream picked up the accolade BEST FOR DARK CIRCLES. The beauty test said “After regular use dark circles faded significantly.  Not overly expensive and very effective”.  Visit this link for more techy info about the product –  http://www.superdrug.com/invt/491691&bklist=

If you check out the Superdrug website they also have a section where you can leave reviews – and this is what TIFFANY said about this product: “I was looking at make-up in my local department store and ran across a sample tube of this eye cream. I have horrible dark circles under my eyes, and the bags and puffiness. No matter what I do, makeup won’t hide them. I tried this on, and walked around and then went back and checked the mirror and could not believe the improvement. It was totally amazing! I would recommend this cream to anyone looking for a tightening of the skin under your eyes, a lightening of dark circles or the reduction of puffiness. This is amazing. ”

And if that’s not enough buy any two things from the Good Skin range at Superdrug and you get a free cosmetics bag AND a microfinishing cream which is usually £20 for free!  Merry Christmas to me and my skin!
